The Wilshire Grand Center, born from the desire to rejuvenate the former Wilshire Grand Hotel site in downtown Los Angeles, has left an indelible mark on the cityscape. Breaking conventions as Los Angeles' first skyscraper without a flat roof, this seventy-three-story marvel of mixed-use office and hotel spaces once claimed the title of the West's tallest building, marking a pivotal moment in the downtown renaissance. Within its walls, the prestigious four-star InterContinental hotel has redefined luxury accommodations, with guests experiencing the unparalleled 73rd-floor sky lobby check-in and breathtaking 360-degree city views. This multifunctional hub also houses retail outlets, diverse dining options, and top-tier Class A office spaces.

“I have the distinct pleasure of working with the SourceBlue team on the $1B Wilshire Grand development in Los Angeles. Through their dedicated and highly skilled staff, the owner has reaped significant cost savings without compromising on quality. Sourcing has a unique ability to foster relationships with reputable vendors from around the globe allowing them to procure materials/equipment at highly discounted rates. I find SourceBlue to be the consummate professionals who have gone, and continue to go, above and beyond to serve their client’s interests. I would urge other owner’s and design professionals to enlist SourceBlue’s assistance clearly demonstrate the savings they gain more than pays for the services they render.” - Ken Aspis, President, Martin Project Management

SourceBlue provided finish materials for all front-of-house and back-of-house locations, including 698 factory-built PODs, lobbies, reception desks, bars, exterior walls, exterior paving, and guestroom bathrooms. By leveraging the international supply chain, SourceBlue was able to save the project over $12M. We introduced competition into a single source project specification through our industry relationships. In many cases, the specified materials were purchased at lower cost due to the introduction of viable international alternates.
