SourceBlue was engaged by JLL to assist with the procurement of long-lead equipment for the OptumRX MDP-HDP project in Mesa, AZ. Given supply chain constraints, the client was concerned about the project schedule and the ability of the general contractor and local trade partner base to manage the schedule. SourceBlue worked with the client to establish a supply chain management strategy, including pre-purchase and early release of equipment to meet the client’s schedule objectives

SourceBlue saved $4.8 Million in costs and 18 weeks in schedule by optimizing the design, leveraging market relationships, and maximizing bidder participation.

Switchgear lead times were expedited by enabling release of breakers and components while switchgear shop drawings were still being developed, improving component lead times by one month. SourceBlue has been able to manage the switchgear lead time more effectively by having visibility directly into not only the equipment, but also at the component level of the supply chain, in order to make proactive adjustments as needed and maintain the project schedule. SourceBlue also managed the logistics & warehousing as necessary to optimize availability of equipment to the project schedule and ensure just in time delivery to the jobsite.
