Wexford Science+Technology and the University of Pittsburgh partnered to redevelop a historic eight-story building in Pittsburgh's Bloomfield neighborhood into a multi-purpose facility known as the Assembly. The renovation of this landmarked building was aimed to create a collaborative space for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The Assembly offers state-of-the-art laboratory spaces, conference and meeting rooms of various sizes, a tiered parking garage, and a large auditorium with a seating capacity of over 250 people. The Assembly is an excellent example of how historic buildings can be repurposed to meet the needs of modern-day research and innovation.
A cleanroom upgrade project focuses on improving cleanliness and operational efficiency through enhancements in gowning, air shower systems, power and gas delivery, and equipment relocation in a 4,000 sq. ft. space.
