This significant expansion encompasses a series of projects unfolding over a seven-year period within an active hospital campus. In the initial phase, a two-story vertical extension, totaling 60,000 sq. ft., was added to the existing East Tower, now known as the Coulombe Family Tower. This phase also included the installation of the new Sisters Heliport, a three-story vertical expansion to the existing visitor parking garage, and substantial enhancements to the Central Utility Plant. The vertical overbuild introduced 64 new patient beds, a family consultation room, patient care workstations, a new helipad with dual landing zones, an extension of the existing parking garage, and the expansion of the chilled water plant to accommodate the necessary increased capacity for the entire expansion.
