PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: UNITED AIRLINES FLIGHT TRAINING CENTER
In Denver, Colorado, the newly renovated United Airlines Flight Training Facility spans 23 acres and includes six buildings totaling over 400,000 square feet. Major upgrades involved redesigning office and classroom layouts, as well as enhancing building systems like the roof, HVAC, lighting, and restrooms to support advanced flight simulators. The facility now features 33 full-flight simulators and 13 fixed training devices, with room for three additional FTDs, setting a new industry standard for elite pilot training. SourceBlue played a pivotal role, overcoming initial challenges with equipment sourcing by partnering with a local Eaton satellite office, ultimately completing the project under budget by $61K.
